"As you all are aware, an early morning house fire left my family and I displaced. We literally lost everything, and we’re left with only the clothes on our backs.   My family and I would like to give our thanks and appreciation to the Thomas Gaiter Foundation, who reached out to us and gave their support and contributed to my family at our time of need. Thank you all so much we really appreciate your support and are very thankful to have come across your foundation."  -A. Cain

Thomas Gaiter Foundation supports the homeless at District of Columbia General Family Shelter for basic necessities such as food, clothing and children's activities. Ms. Wilson, a member of TGF's leadership team, volunteered to design and personally sew shirts for the homeless children at the shelter.

Dear Ms. Wilson,
I am writing on behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of the Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness to thank you very much for creating and distributing the beautiful designed shirts given to the children at the DC General Shelter.
It is particularly gratifying to receive support from members of the community, which lets the children and families know that wonderful people like you care about them. It is also encouraging to the staff at DC General to know that they have your support.
