PINE RIDGE INDIAN RESERVATION | SOUTH DAKOTA

Thomas Gaiter Foundation established scholarships for Native American Indians to pursue their education.

Statistics show that the Oglala Lakota Tribe has a high infant mortality rate, low life expectancy, increased complications from diabetes, high rate of unemployment, poverty and suicide.

The beautiful smile of this young Oglala Lakota girl certainly gives us the inspiration to give her life a better and brighter future.

BUENA VISTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE

Buena Vista Elementary School is the first school adopted by the Thomas Gaiter Foundation.

The majority of students live below the national poverty level and approximately 25-30% are homeless.

TGF provided backpacks and other school supplies to Buena Vista.

The students of Buena Vista participated in the Tennessee State University 2016 Homecoming Parade.

They had fun decorating the van as well as meeting some of their classmates during the parade.

This was the children's first parade experience. We all had a great time.

J. M. BEVINS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | GRUNDY, VIRGINA

Thomas Gaiter Foundation provided financial assistance to the students at J.M. Bevins Elementary School.

The funds you sent were much appreciated. The children have benefited greatly from this. We were able to buy clothes for eight children. I appreciate this gesture so much.

Grundy is one of the areas affected by the decline of the coal mining industry. Unfortunately, the families, especially the children, suffered emotionally and financially.

FAMILY SERVICES | WASHINGTON, DISTRICT COLUMBIA

Thomas Gaiter Foundation supports the homeless at District of Columbia General Family Shelter for basic necessities such as food, clothing and children's activities. Ms. Wilson, a member of TGF's leadership team, volunteered to design and personally sew shirts for the homeless children at the shelter.
